review highlights
Alice (Kelley Mack) brings a welcome supporting character into the proceedings... she steals most of the scenes she appears in.
Kelley Mack... is among these captivating performances. She brings a layer of intrigue to the film that furthers not only the narrative but also the complex performance of Shum. She is one of the film’s strongest highlights... Mack no doubt leaves her mark upon the film... She is tremendous in her role.
[Harry Shum, Jr.'s] later interactions with Kelley Mack’s ‘Alice’ have a strong dynamism in their strange relationship.
Added Mack: “I went down a little bit of a rabbit hole myself. It was very interesting, and I wanted to understand what exactly the team would be trying to get across in the story.”
Kelley Mack pops in as a sidekick character of sorts and her role in the film is far too short lived as she carries a charisma and charm about her, as well as a warmth that doesn’t exist within James' character, and its presence would have been a welcome addition to the length of the movie.
Mack was brought on to "The Walking Dead" initially for two episodes but survived for five.

...with the help of his accomplice Alice (Kelley Mack), who adds a youthful energy to the stylish, spiraling storyline.
Kelley Mack as the mysterious Alice also works well without darkening the sky too much.
Alice (Kelley Mack) is a welcome change-of-pace... They have a strong dramatic chemistry and banter as she offers her expertise.
Kelley Mack is charismatic as a manic pixie dream stalker... The performances are all strong...

Thanks to endearing performances from Shum Jr and Mack, exploring this shadowy world with James and Alice is as fun as it is nerve-wracking. They have the playful repartee of the hero and heroine of an early British Hitchcock thriller.
